Hey, everyone here with a Shasta Motor Home. Got some good news for you all. I recently purchased a 1979 25'RD (rear dinette)Shasta Motor Home, and in my search for the almost non-existent information on the internet about these wonderful treasures, I discovered a Yahoo Group dedicated to Shasta Motor Homes. You can find the link to it here.
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ClassicShastasMotorhomes/
Yeah, that's my Shasta on the home page of the group. I've had it about a month now, my first Motor Home. I was really surprised, & flattered when the Moderator posted one of my pics from the files section, on the home page. If your looking for Pictures, Manuals, Information, ect. this group is what you've been hoping to find! It's a fantastic resource group with/for people who love their Shasta Motor Homes! As a member of this group, I invite you to check it out and please do join the group. It's a free group membership and you have to be a member to access the files and photo's sections. Oh yeah, to "cgstd@yahoo.com"... The question you posted on 5-13-10... That's ECONOLINE. It's Fords flagship Van Model name brand. Anyway, I hope to see you all at the group! Please do join. We have 171 members/owners of Shasta Motorhomes and we're looking for more members who own Shasta MH's. I'm going to forward this msg to all the e-mail address listed in these posts, but some of these posts don't list an e-mail address, so if you read this, and you'd like information about your Shasta Motor Home, go to the link above. If you know anyone who has a Shasta Motorhome, give them the link to the group also! We'd love to have them join the group too! If I can be of any help regarding info/pictures of your Shasta Motor Home, feel free to e-mail me at the address listed in this post. Put "Shasta" in the subject line of the e-mail so I'll know it's not just another junk mail and delete it. At the group page, there are also links to Shasta Trailer Groups too, for anyone reading this who is looking for information/pictures on Shasta Trailers. Anyway, I gotta get going. Hope to see you in the group! Happy Camping! Michael

Bought a 1971 ford shasta motor home and everything works great including the shower/dunny. however, I discovered my engine cylinders #s 7 is leaking compression and 8 has no compression. We use it to piddle around with close to home as it runs great for awhile on the other 6 cylinders but it heats up then the problems begin. I am desperately seeking a 302 ford long block engine for a replacement and any original pictures of the interior so I can try to duplicate its original look. If anyone has any pics or info I sure could use the help. Thanx Guys. Please reply to my wife at the above address. Freedom Eagle 25

Hi, just bought one of these things myself. I live in London England, so its a bit unusual over here and I am having trouble finding any info on it myself. In particular my kingpins are worn on the front axle and I need to source some replacements. If you find out any info on spares and the like, I'd be grateful if you could forward it to me as well.
As for the toilet... not sure if yours is the same as mine, but with mine it has a water feed from the main fresh water tank. You "do your thing" then turn the round knob at the back right hand side. This opens the slide plate at the bottom and delivers some flushing water. When everything has disappeared, release the knob and add a capful of toilet chemical. :-)
