reference to safari cheeta that the 12volt lights are not working on a slide. had same problem. the wire came disconnected inside the wall of the slide. can go to the 120 electrical outlet on the slide by the floor, take cover off and the wires should be sitting right there,. just reconnect.

Jeff...by now you may have been led to either the auto AC switching box...especially if it is fused, or to the main breaker in the AC diastribution box. There are other things...breakers on gen set, shore line problem, but for both to not operate, I would go to the auto change over box first... or does that have an internal box where the shore plug is connected when you use the gen set? You see, lots of questions could be ruled out with more information. be careful, don't check for voltage, use a VOM with no voltage applied. I say this because I don't know your electrical knowledge. Be safe.

My friend has a 1985 Monaco 36' Crown Royal that he is having issues with hhis ignition system. When he tries to start it nothing happens. Checked to see if he was getting power to the solinoid and it does not. I jumped the starter at the solinoid and it will start, that is telling me that there is an open circuit between the switch and the starer solinoid. Does anyone have an idea if there is any juntion points are where i could get a wiring diagram for this old of a coach? I would do more hands on on but he is in AZ and I live in MO. I was able to do a small amount of dianostic for him when we were passing throug on our way home from a bussness trip but we were only there for a very short time and i did not have the right cloths or equipment to craw around under his coach. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks David

The light in my kitchen area has three, two 18 inch fixtures in it. It keeps burning switches and if I wire it direct to check it out the wires get so hot you can't touch them. Anyone had this problem and what was your fix>

To the gentleman who is having sever gas problems in bath area. My coach was plumbed for washer/dryer but we didn't purchase them. I found the top cap on the vent tube was loose and letting gas enter the coach. Tightened and solved my problem

What is the tubing routing from the vacuum side of the vacuum generator to the ball vacuum storage tank that supplies the dash selector and controls the different vent/defrost doors on the AC/Heat? Mid 90's Executive ...vacuum at generator..no vacuum to control switches, defaults to defrost...sure miss the closing of the Monaco technical desk.

Reply to mnolson re sewer gas.
I have the same odor from my toilet if I have been driving and stirring up the holding tank. I believe it is coming out of the toilet because the sliding valve between toilet and the drain is not sealing. Pour some water into the bowl and let it sit. If it drains away the sliding valve is not sealing. I added some holding tank treatment and it helped. I guess I am too lazy to take the toilet apart to fix the seal.

I have a 2002 Windsor that has a problem with sewer gas smell in the bathroom. I can't find out were it's coming from. I even ran a bead of silicone around the base of the toilet, but it did'nt seem to help. Has anyone got an idea what the problem is? Thanks!

Regarding the 2002 Monaco in which the air conditioner does not work. I have a similar problem with a 2002 Monaco Windsor that is to be fixed this next Thursday when the part arrives. I could get only hot air no matter the setting I chose. On my vehicle there is an electrically actuated controller about the size of a deck of cards on the left side (looking from the front) of the firewall behind the generator. It has a harness with about 8 wires going into it. This controller turns a small shaft that moves a rotating valve that chooses heated or cooled air to be diverted into the hose that comes out of the vents in the cab. My defective part is still at the RV dealer so I cannot get the number until after 2 July. If you still have the problem then, email me and I can get it for you.

I had a similar issue on my 2001 executive. The air fan was running but no cooling. Found that the two fittings at the engine side on the compress had leaked the freon out slowly. Had them replace by auto air repair shop and had it recharged and has been working for about 1 year.

We have a 42' 2002 Monaco Executive with a 500 Cummins, which we bought very slightly used last fall. We're travelling across Canada and have discovered that the DASH air conditioning isn't working. We called everyone in Winnipeg we thought may be able to help, but everyone refers us on to someone else. We're now heading east and are wondering if anyone can give us some ideas of what kind of a business would work on this. The RV dealers don't, nor the truck dealers. Any ideas for whom we could try in Toronto or preferable before that? We'd appreciate any help.

I have a 1997 Monaco Dynasty with elecrical problems. These problems are simple 240/120 vac and 12v dc circuits, however without basic documention analytical troubleshooting is impossible. The MONACO owners manual is a joke. MONACO should be sancioned in the most serious way for putting out a piece of machinery this expensive without adequate documentation. Statements are made like "CONTROL PANEL" leaving you in the dark as to what is the CONTROL PANEL. This machine was built by amatures with no technical management. The Manual should be VIN Number specific. The Manual does not even list the 40 foot Dynasty. The manual is totally inadequate and reflectsa very negative image of MONACO. I have better documentation on my HONDA TOW CAR. If anyone out there in Camper Land has any engineering drawings on MONACO, 1997 Dynasty please contact me at trimotorpilot@gmail.com.

I'm having a problem with my power converter, each time we hook up to AC power the green light on the converter will blink instead of soild green. This causes the TV power outlets in the front and rear of the coach not to work. I have had luck with resetting the bathroom plug ground fault. Is this commom and how serious is the fix? Thanks for your help.

The Monaco corporation installs the multiplex wiring system throughout the coach and now has included the chasis however little discussion is provided to the owners where a simple trouble shooting program can be used. Multitech makes a computer analysis device for just under two thousand dollars but Monaco does not provide information as to what they use to troubleshoot problems and how to recognize problems other than a system failure. When we are on the road and pull into a service area most of these well menaing shops do not have the ability to properly trouble shoot systems served by the multiplex system aboard. The system is tremendously useful and state of the art but failures occur and it would be good to have the ability from Monaco documents and instructions to repair our unit. The coach and chasis takes on a mistique like our laptops and would beed to be recyled on/off/on to clear faults but if we lose the master controller can we reprogram the system on the road? If there is a multiplex sh ystem failure on the road are we a threat to all other traffic and to ourselves are there bypasses we can use what the situation?

Everyone loves a family reunion. You can catch up on old times and see everyone you love to spend time with. Well, how about having a family reunion several times a year, where you can see old friends, make new memories and meet new people? Sound like fun? If so, a Monaco Chapter is the place for you.
Seems like every week, somewhere in this great land of ours, a few members of the Monaco Family are getting together to share some love and laughter. A few special times each year, members gather in larger places for grand rallies. These big events, as well as the smaller ones, make owning a Monaco much more than driving down the road. Wherever you may be, whatever you would like to do, there is a family there with you.
