Subject: Add on use of heat strip on ducted air conditioner
From: Richard in S.C.

Hi, I was reading on the Good Sam news letter about add on heat strip for all air, except ducted units.I have dual ducted air in my MC and do not seem to have heat strip activation even though it is on the wall thermostat. The question is: Do I have it, can I have it or is this just the thermostat setting that is functionless?

The four long bolts that hold the A/C unit to the roof have been the problem in my unit. Remove them and coat them with Silicone RTV as well as filling the hole then re=insert bolts and tighten. Took care of my leaking roof.

take it either to an rv dealer, so when he rips open your roof he can check down your walls for water damage too. OORRR you will have a major job very soon

Can someone please advise me on how to repair a leak thru my air conditioning unit in the centre of my roof?
The water seems to pool around the outside edge and then comes through into the interior.
Please help me. Thank you
